About Us

You’re Part of the Family
Dr. Lisa firmly believes that all dental care should be family-centric. Dental care is much easier if caregivers take an active role in the oral health care of their children. For this reason, she prefers caregivers to be present for their child’s dental visit to ensure that as members of the SGPD family, the parents and children feel comfortable asking questions about their health. This builds confidence and understanding, which makes families responsible for the status of their oral health and what can be done to improve it as a team.
Collaborative care involving pediatricians, teachers, and therapists—including occupational, speech, ABA, and myofunctional therapists—and others is encouraged to ensure a dedicated team is working towards improving a child’s overall health and confidence.
Gentle Approach
We know dental anxiety and fear is one of the top reasons families delay seeing the dentist. So we treat the whole child rather than focusing only on the teeth.
Our empathetic and gentle approach allows us to focus on your individual child’s thoughts, feelings, and past experiences to ensure a positive visit. Sometimes it takes multiple visits to build trust with children, especially those with special needs. Dr. Lisa and her staff are dedicated to building those memories and relationships so going to the dentist will be as joyful and easy as taking a walk in the park!

Conservative Treatment
Dr. Lisa believes that in order to be the best pediatric dentist for her patients, it is important to treat each patient like family. She only provides treatment that she’d feel comfortable doing on her own kids.
Sometimes this means not every cavity needs to be filled, and x-rays may not need to be taken every year. We recognize each child is unique, and deserves a thoughtful approach that is best for them.
Through her experience, Dr. Lisa takes many things into consideration before recommending treatment. While some treatment is inevitable, there are many opportunities to take a more conservative approach.
